Dict: easton - Seer

Seer @ a name sometimes applied to the prophets because of the visions granted to them. It is first found in kjv@1Samuel:9:9. It is afterwards applied to Zadok, Gad, etc. ( kjv@2Samuel:15:27 kjv@2Samuel:24:11; kjv@1Chronicles:9:22 kjv@1Chronicles:25:5; kjv@2Chronicals:9:29; kjv@Amos:7:12; kjv@Micah:3:7). The "sayings of the seers" ( kjv@2Chronicals:33:18-19) is rendered in the Revised Version "the history of Hozai" (marg., the seers; so the LXX.), of whom, however, nothing is known. (
